Energy
Until now, the printing industry consumed large amounts of energy, however Fresh Print Shop use modern equipment along with a modern factory meaning our consumption is reduced to an absolute minimum. Furthermore the energy we do use is provided by Ecotricity, the worlds first green electricity company.

Process
There are two main methods of Printing, Lithographic Printing which uses plates & ink or Digital Printing which uses a solid/dry ink, without the need for plates. Litho Prinitng remains today as a favourite for large printing (5,000+), however with 90% of all print runs now under 5,000 copies digital is becoming a major contender.

Digital Print is used more frequently as it is suited to the short-run print market because there is no plates used which therefire reduces the set-up cost and means there is no wastage, which is has to be paid for by the customer causing the customer extra costs. The main environmental impact here is the “wastage” in order to get the job ready a large number of sheets have to be run through the machine first, this uses time, energy and of course materials (ink & paper).

Digital Printing doesn’t have this “wastage” and the pricing model (no physical set-up cost) means you can choose the exact quantity required. This is why at Fresh Print Shop we keep our Prices Low.

Paper
As mentioned at Fresh Print Shop’s 90%+ papers we print on are supplied by Howard Smith Paper Group, and the majority of that paper is Regency Gloss or Satin. Regency is produced by Garda Cartiere, and is an FSC approved paper stock.

At Fresh Print Shop we use Regency Paper for our Flyers, Leaflets, Posters, Brochures, Calendars and Business Cards.

Our Business Stationery is produced using ‘OnBusiness’ and Greeting Cards & Postcards are produced using ‘TruCard’.

Transport
The majority of Fresh Print Shop Stationery is delivered using UKMail, one of the UK’s premier courier companies. We also ship some of our other products by Interlink & Royal Mail.

By shipping our products using a courier, rather than our own vans, means your order is transported with a vast number of other parcels, cutting down the environmental impact of each individual parcel.

We have also launched Stickers and Lables which come in a selection of sizes and cost as little as £87.31. Labels and Stickers are great for labelling documents and files, promotional items, and many other uses.
